Did you know:
- Almost all the parts of a computer can be reused or recycled.
- In 2005, with the help of the non-profit society Stop Computer Land
Fill, residents in the Okanagan recycled to enough computers to occupy
the volume of a 6000 square foot luxury home.
- This represents only 12% of our discarded computers.
- Each monitor contains up to 2kg of Lead. Computers also contain many
other hazardous waste materials
Stop Computer Land Fill (SCLF) will conduct a Community Round-Up of used
computer components on the dates shown below. SCLF recycles all computer
parts, including accessories such as scanners and cords.
